Team & scope

Turned the original developers and new, distributed hires into one team, with Scrum ceremonies and knowledge sharing; open discussion replaced solo silos. Transparent processes with stakeholders across the company.

A free site for buying and selling cars in the UAE. Dealers got unlimited listings and their own business pages.

Team & scope

Founder. Product idea and brand; after launch also the commercial side and paid traffic. Half the team were co-founders on equity, the rest freelancers on hourly rates (developers, QA, sales).

Results

About 100 cars listed in the first six weeks. Relaunched in April 2024 with paid acquisition.

  • Led about 20 people across two vendor companies: iOS, Android, web and backend squads.

Telecom operator in the UAE.

Team & scope

The link between business stakeholders and three vendor companies. Frontend: a PM with iOS, Android and web developers. Backend: a PM, an architect, two team leads and about nine engineers. A third team took seasonal work and one-off integrations.

Results

Squads, internal guidelines and one process for product, development and QA, run in Jira and Confluence. Architecture that weighed long-term reuse against quick proof-of-concept delivery.

  • Owned the tariff engine, configured for Italy, the USA and the UAE, plus the permits and season-tickets module.
  • Led a squad of three full-stack developers and a DevOps engineer; set up CI/CD and helped move to Azure.
